How long has your family lived in Runge?

She told us that her family lived there for 43 years.

Do you still live there?

No, I don’t live there anymore.

What is one of the historical buildings that you remember that is not here anymore?

The one building I remember the most was the Antique Shop on the corner that was replaced by a Tiger Mart.

What can you tell us about the four cemeteries in Runge?

There are four cemeteries because of the different religions.  The first cemetery is the Catholic Cemetery, the second is the Hispanic Cemetery, the third cemetery is the Black Cemetery, and the fourth is the Runge Cemetery.  There used to be seven churches in Runge.

Any other stories you would like to tell us?

I remember my parents telling me that a tornado came through Runge that nearly wiped out the whole town, but I don’t remember what year it was.

What can you tell us about the Runge School?

Well the Runge School is always making changes.  For example they used to have one set of government homes and now they have five sets of government homes.
